The Association Swiss Capital of Culture, the HES-SO University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland and the Haute Ecole de gestion Arc (HEG Arc) invite you to a press conference at which a project for a new nationwide cultural event will be presented, one that pursues artistic and social aspirations suited to the 21st century.
The Swiss Capital of Culture project was conceived in 2002 following the 6th National Exhibition and developed over the following 10 years. In autumn 2015, HEG Arc launched a study to assess its relevance. This study, funded by HES-SO, was completed in October 2016.
The project and the highly promising results of the study, entitled “From European Capitals of Culture to Swiss Capitals of Culture: what adjustments for what impacts?”, will be presented on Thursday 19.01.2017 at 10:00 at the Vatter Business Centre (Adrian Frutiger Room), Bärenplatz 2, 3011 Bern
Speaking at the press conference will be Daniel Rossellat, President of the Swiss Capital of Culture Association, Luciana Vaccaro, Rector of HES-SO, and Mathias Rota, research fellow at HEG Arc and author of the study.
