The jury recognises the very positive development of La Chaux-de-Fonds' bid to become the Swiss Capital of Culture in 2027 and approves the project - with one reservation.

La Chaux-de-Fonds reaches an important milestone

La Chaux-de-Fonds, candidate for Switzerland's first Capital of Culture in 2027, has reached an important milestone. The national jury set up by the association of the same name, which met in the watchmaking metropolis on 2 May, approved the project submitted by La Chaux-de-Fonds as Swiss Capital of Culture (CCS2300) and supported by the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds and the canton of Neuchâtel, subject to reliable financing, which has yet to be proven.
