The La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE) Swiss Capital of Culture project has reached important milestones, including recognition by the federal government. However, the date of the event has been set for 2027, compared to 2025 in the initial phase.

Lugano in 2030?  "The role of our association is to accompany the promotor of the project so that it has the right dimension. A balance must be found between ambition and realism," added Daniel Rossellat. After La Chaux-de-Fonds, the 2nd Swiss Capital of Culture could be Lugano, Daniel Rossellat specified. "We want medium-sized cities with great cultural potential that don't have the chance to do a national exhibition," he added. Talks are also taking place with Thun (BE) or Winterthur (ZH).
