Four cities in the running for the title of «Swiss Capital of Culture 2030»

Aarau, Bellinzona, Lugano (with Locarno and Mendrisio) and Thun are officially applying for the title of «Swiss Capital of Culture 2030», which is awarded by the national association Swiss Capital of Culture. All four cities submitted their applications on time and in the correct format. The decision on the award will be made in early June 2026 by an independent jury of experts.
